Suspect in Wife's Death, Tax Fraud Dies While on Cruise

A tax fraud case against an Arizona businessman under scrutiny in his wife's killing took a strange turn when he died in Florida after a judge let him go on a Caribbean cruise while awaiting sentencing.

Peter Mizioch, 75, died of a heart attack after suffering an apparent stroke on the cruise ship. Phoenix police then scrambled to get evidence of his death before his body was cremated because they were still looking at him as a lead in his wife's unsolved slaying. Mizioch had denied any involvement, and he was not charged with her killing.
