Former FIFA VP Gets More Time to Fight Extradition

Former FIFA vice president Jack Warner got more time to fight his extradition to the U.S., until late August. Another FIFA official fighting extradition hired lawyers.

The head of FIFA’s compliance committee said he wouldn’t take a reform task force position unless he received full independence, casting the latest FIFA reform effort into doubt. FIFA says it wants someone outside soccer to lead the task force.
