Rolls-Royce Tumbles as Bribery Fine Sparks Record Loss

Rolls-Royce has tumbled to the bottom of the FTSE 100 after announcing a record £4.6 billion loss, hit by a fine to settle bribery charges and hurt by the pound's slide following the Brexit vote.

Shares in the aircraft engine maker slid over 3% to 717p despite underlying profit hitting £813 million, ahead of investor expectations, but around half last year's level.
